A proposed priesthood should address a recognisable domain of human development or service not adequately represented through an existing priesthood.
A credible body of work
Recognition should be supported by philosophy, a clear body of knowledge, ethical commitments, practical responsibilities and a formation pathway.
A developing governance process
The Nation has not yet ratified a formal process for establishing priesthoods. The final framework should include review, consultation, accountability and the ability to revise or withdraw recognition when required.
