A distinct vocation
Restoration as a disciplined spiritual and human undertaking.
Recover, discern, transform
Restoration begins by asking what has been diminished and why. It also asks whether an earlier state should be recovered or whether a different, healthier condition must be made possible.
An encounter with plural traditions
The developing work examines Christianity, African spiritual traditions, Islam, Hinduism and other frameworks with attention to both meaningful parallels and substantive differences. The intention is inquiry and guidance rather than the claim that all traditions say the same thing.
A restorative ethic
Those offering spiritual guidance should honour autonomy, avoid exploiting fear or grief, distinguish their interpretations from evidence and refer people to qualified support where needed.
